An essay that discusses the way thought and physicality are transferred by the manuscript page, specifically through the love letters of Abelard and Heloise, the most notorious couple of the 12th century. Written as a final paper for a class on medieval sexualities by the Bookworm, the essay closely examines the physical response to the page and what we know about the medieval reaction to that response.

EXPLORING BOOKS IN THEIR NATURAL HABITAT
This is a podcast that focuses on the book as an object of art and discovery, meant to engage interested parties of all levels of book knowledge in the storied past and present of book making and history. Developed and produced by California-based book artist Keri Miki-Lani Schroeder, the podcast is a love-child of her many degrees and interests, making her (mostly monologue) language informed and passionate.

This project reads into what it means to read a book and how the "pleasure" novel, both in the genres of detective fiction and romance, are enjoyed as they are meant to be enjoyed. This exciting look into "reading for fun" is easy to navigate and fun to click through for anyone wanting to justify the pleasure they get from reading anything. Done by a friend and fellow Georgetown Capstone student, the project is both scholarly and approachable, making it easy to discover just why books make us feel good.
